Frequently asked questions:

  1. Are courses held in very cold weather?

In the event of extreme cold, the course may be cancelled, but this is rare. In all cases, attendance is at the parents' discretion, especially for younger children. If you don't receive an e-mail before the lesson, the lesson will take place.

  1. What happens if a lesson is cancelled?

If a lesson is cancelled, we always try to make up for it at the end of the season if the conditions permit it.

  1. Can I accompany my child during the lesson?

For Bunny rabbit levels, it is possible to accompany your child during the lesson, especially for younger children. However, we encourage independence, and if your child is comfortable, you can let him or her take part in the lesson alone. If in doubt, ask your child's coach.
For Jackrabbit levels, children participate in the class on their own. Parents are not allowed to accompany children, except in the case of the parent designated to accompany the group. If you are an accompanying parent, please note that your role is to support the instructor and ensure the safety of the group, not to ski with your child.

  1. What equipment should I bring?

For the Bunny levels, children only need skis (no poles). For the Ponpons (BR3) level, skis over winter boots are accepted. For BR4 and BR5, if skis are attached to winter boots, make sure you have a model where the child can lift his heel.
For levels JR1 and JR2, children must have classic skis and poles in their size.
For levels JR3 and JR4, we recommend classic wax skis and combi boots, which children can also use when learning skating techniques. Scaly skis are acceptable, but your child may have to work harder during skate skiing sessions to get ahead. Please note that about half of the lessons will be skate skiing techniques.
For the Arrows group, classic and skate ski equipment is strongly recommended.
For the Challenge group, classic ski equipment is sufficient.
For all groups, bring a small backpack so that children can carry with them: water bottle, snacks, hand or toe warmers and extra warm clothing if needed.

For more details on equipment, see our page on the subject describing the different types of equipment and how to choose the right one for your children.
