Biathlon Cancellation Protocol in case of extreme temperatures

Freezing temperature:
Considering that during episodes of freezing temperatures, health risks, such as frostbite, are high;
Considering that sanitary restrictions could not allow us to use the Biathlon hut to warm up;
Considering that air rifles no longer shoot effectively below -25°C;
Considering that skating is difficult and inefficient in very cold weather; Considering the recommendations of Biathlon Canada, the IBU and Canadian Biathlon Centres;
In the following situations:
-27°C or less, actual temperature forecast for Morin Heights at 9:00 AM (6:00 PM forecast Friday evening)
Saturday morning lessons are cancelled.
An email will be sent to parents on Friday evening at 6:00 PM to confirm the cancellation of Saturday morning lessons.
Saturday afternoon lessons:
If the weather forecast remains below -27°C in the afternoon, a cancellation email will be sent to parents before 11 AM to confirm the cancellation of Saturday afternoon lessons.
-25°C to -27°C, actual temperature forecast for Morin Heights at 9:00 AM (6:00 PM forecast Friday evening)
We will study the possibilities of hourly warming and winds.
