New machines mean better trails

It’s a big job to groom our trail network, which includes some 10 km of wider trails for skating and classic technique (known as the Racing Trails), plus another 40 km of classic trails. 

Thanks to a successful fundraising campaign, the club has purchased two new pieces of equipment — a Centaur trail-grooming machine (in the fall of 2009), plus a Scandic snowmobile. This new equipment replaces our two old snowmobiles and will help us maintain our trails more efficiently and to a higher standard.

The Racing Trails are usually the first to be groomed, followed by the Red, Blue and Crown trails as snow permits. Trail conditions are updated every Friday.
